ALICE JACKSON Founder, Partner

As the first educational counselor in the state of California and in private practice since 1975, Alice Jackson is a pioneer in her chosen field. Her work with families has set a standard of integrity and professionalism recognized nationally by schools, programs and by her colleagues.

Ms. Jackson’s educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. Her graduate studies laid the foundation for her insightful family counseling and professional advice about appropriate and effective educational settings. In addition to her family counseling, Ms. Jackson is often asked to appear as an expert witness and child advocate in family law matters. Her forensic work extends throughout the Western United States.

Ms. Jackson holds board positions with several educational organizations in the Bay Area, including The Parents Education Network and the Avery-Fuller-Welch Children’s Foundation. She was a Board member of the Secondary Schools Admission Test organization (SSATB) and chaired the Test Committee from 1988 – 1998.

BROOKE JACKSON Partner

Brooke Jackson joined Jackson Associates in 1995. Prior to that time, for six years she directed admissions for an American therapeutic school close to Florence, Italy, and upon returning to the States she worked in independent school admissions in the Bay Area. During this time she designed and wrote the printed publications for a number of day and boarding schools in California and for several European universities.

Ms. Jackson’s admissions experience provides families with a particular expertise: she is able to see the admissions process from the viewpoint of the applicant as well as from the perspective of the school. She communicates with warmth, precision and clinical sophistication with clients, school representatives, and professionals who are working with the family.

Brooke holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and is pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. Her studies include neuropsychological assessment, a long held interest in her educational counseling practice.
